Why Ash & Bloom?

We don’t know exactly what brought you here, but if you’ve landed on this page with a sigh, a side-eye, or a “dear god please let this place be different” — we want you to know something straight up:

You are not too much. And you are not alone.

Maybe you’re living with pelvic pain that no one seems to understand (or believe).

Maybe your brain is running five tabs at once, and none of them are labelled.

Maybe you’re navigating menopause, motherhood, identity, trauma, neurodivergence — or all of it, all at once.

Or maybe you’re just tired of being told to “just relax” and “have you tried yoga?”

You deserve more than bandaid solutions and advice that doesn’t quite land.

You deserve care that is safe, inclusive, and deeply human.

FAQs

  • No, you don’t need a referral to see us. You’re welcome to book directly. If you’d like to use a Mental Health Treatment Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP, you can bring that along too, and it may give you access to Medicare rebates.

  • Just yourself. If you have any letters, scans, or referrals you’d like to share, you can bring them, but they’re not essential.

  • That’s completely normal. Many people feel anxious before their first appointment. We’ll go gently, at your pace, and you’re in control of what you choose to share.

  • Yes, we offer both in-person and online appointments. Many people prefer online sessions for comfort and flexibility wherever they’re based.

  • Life happens. We just ask for notice (usually 24–48 hours) so we can offer the spot to someone else who’s waiting. You also have the option of switching to telehealth.

  • Yes, if that feels right for you. Sometimes having someone by your side can help with comfort and remembering information.

  • We don’t see you as broken. Our role is to walk alongside you, to listen, support, and share tools so that you leave feeling more resourced, connected, and empowered to manage your health and wellbeing.

  • Many people do. Pelvic and intimate health can feel vulnerable. We promise warmth, respect, and no judgment. You only ever share what feels safe for you.

  • We hear this often. We work gently, collaboratively, and we centre your voice and choice. You set the pace. Our aim is that you feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for.

  • That’s okay. Emotions are welcome here. You don’t need to have the right words—we’ll help hold the space until you do.

  • Yes. Your story, your pain, and your experience are real. We believe you.

  • You don’t need to know. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening for you and work out what kind of support feels helpful.

  • That’s completely okay. We’re used to adjusting how we share information—whether that’s breaking things into steps, using visuals, or slowing down. You can always let us know what works best for you.

  • No. This is a space where you can bring your full self. If you need stim tools, headphones, breaks, or a different kind of lighting or seating, we’ll do our best to make it work.

  • That’s common. We can help by giving you written notes, visuals, or summaries. You’re also welcome to jot things down or record parts of your session if that helps.

  • We’ll move gently and notice cues together. If you need a pause, silence, grounding, or even to reschedule, that’s always okay. You’ll never be pressured to push through discomfort.

  • That happens sometimes, and it’s okay. It is two humans in a room, and sometimes the fit isn’t quite what you need. A good therapeutic relationship is about safety and connection. If you don’t feel comfortable with your clinician, you can let us know—we won’t be offended. We’ll support you to find someone else in our team (or outside it) who may be a better match. Your care matters more than anything.

For professionals

Professional learning

Learning that’s layered, collaborative, and grounded in care.

We run science-rich, trauma-aware workshops for both clients and clinicians. Whether you’re attending to reconnect with your own body, or to learn how to better support others—our workshops are built to be real, practical, and empowering. You'll leave with new tools, not just new knowledge.

Supervision

Clinical depth. Nervous system safety. Real conversations about hard, complex work.

Supporting women and AFAB individuals with pelvic pain, sexual health concerns, hormonal transitions, or complex trauma takes more than textbook knowledge. It calls for nuance, containment, interdisciplinary insight, and sometimes a place to just exhale.

Our individual and group supervision offerings are tailored for clinicians (psychologists, counsellors, sex therapists, etc.) who want to deepen their confidence and care in this work. Whether you're exploring pelvic pain presentations for the first time or are already immersed and looking for peer-level space—we’ve got you.
